Banding Committee Guidelines

 1. Banding Committee members are restricted to the banding of CVBA wingbands solely and exclusively.

 2. For transparency, each member should work in pairs. At no circumstance should any member band alone as can be reflected in the banding sheet signatures.

3. Wingbanding period strictly from March 1 to 31 each year, not earlier nor later.

Criteria: 
Both 4 or more primary wing feathers intact. Farms located outside Cebu province should shoulder the expenses of the banding committee. Requests for a second date of banding schedule will be done after all banding schedules for each member are done and provided expenses incurred by the banding committee for the repeat banding will be reimbursed by the requesting member.

 4. NFGB banding for CVBA members will be bound by NFGB rules.

 5. CVBA stag derbies open to non-CVBA banded stags coming from other NFGB recognized associations subject to WB screening for tampering by the CVBA banding  committee prior to legbanding. Provide a copy of wingband record to CVBA      banding committee.

 6. Legbanding Criteria for CVBA banded stags: strictly untampered wingbands.

 7. Legbanding for non-CVBA banded stags will commence at the earliest two weeks      prior to the first CVBA stag derby each year. Legbanding for CVBA banded stags are done on the day of fight inside the pit premises,  1 hour before announced  commencement of fights at the latest, for that particular day. Penalties will be      sanctioned otherwise.

 8. Tampering of wingbands if caught, will subject the CVBA member concerned, to      a thorough investigation by the members of the Board of Directors. If the Board      rules that the tampering was done willfully and with evil intent, said member will be subject to expulsion from the CVBA for life.

 9. Criteria for Breeder of the Year Award:

a. Should have fielded an entry for all CVBA stag derbies scheduled with exactly the same entry name with the highest accumulated points.

b. There will be no limit to the number of entries fielded by each member who wishes to vie for the award.

c. Each entry will be legitimate for the award provided all stags fought are
registered to his name whether it be CVBA banded or NFGB banded.

d. No fight, no point earned system will be followed.

e. In case of a tie in total points, the “plus tiebreak” will be used: 

3 stag champion: + 0.5 pt.,

Clean-up derby champion: + 1 pt.,

Main derby champion: + 1.5 pts.
